It's official. I'm an embarrassment to my generation. I. Can't. Blog. Good.
I've tried visual, non-linear blogging and textual, organized chronological blogging. Sadly none of these formats has worked very well because my brain likes to go all over the place, in different directions and in multiple dimensions. (That's not your fault, Tumblr and Pinterest and Twitter and Plurk and the other T-somethings and P-somethings. You are all wonderful. It is I who has failed you.)
Since inspiration likes to strike haphazardly, here's an experimental hybrid: I will blog semi-randomly from an ever expanding list of oddly intriguing things that fascinate me like laser-pointers fascinate house cats. Some might be intellectually stimulating while most are probably just stupid.
May the fickle muses be appeased and allow me to mine uninterrupted from the rich veins of the interwebs... and please don't mess up my ABC's.
Here goes:
animatronics, Art-Deco, artificial intelligence, automatons, baseball, bluegrass music, car paint, Celtic spellings, chinoiserie, classic sci-fi, critters, dandelions, dog hair, Dutch still lifes, eggshells, glass marbles, Gone with the Wind, Greek mythology, Hieronymus Bosch, hockey pucks, Huckleberry Finn, international humanitarian law, Kabuki theatre costumes, Lucille Ball, magpies, Oxford comma, plastic, Omotesando, recycling, robotics, ships, silent "U", skeletons, squirrels, subway lines, Swiss Family Robinson, tableaux vivants, trompe l'oeil, Victorian London, zoetropes
